Dreamcatcher Workshop

The afternoon will begin with a Dreamcatcher Workshop led by Walker Generelly, of In Between Dreams. During the Dreamcatcher Workshop, you will weave a beautiful sacred object of your own creation! Utilizing traditional techniques as well as contemporary adaptations, Walker will guide you on an informative hands-on journey in the art and lore of dreamcatchers. You will create your own one-of-a-kind piece of art infused with meaning and intention centered around the cacao ceremony.

Leading into the workshop, we will take a few minutes to forage the land and source earth objects to include in our dreamcatchers. These will stand as reminders of the sacred experience we will share with each other. All supplies will be included including hoops, textiles, crystals, and feathers for decoration. We also welcome you to bring personal objects and decorations to incorporate into your dreamcatcher to make it more personal and meaningful.

Cacao Ceremony

After the Dreamcatcher Workshop, Waverly Davis, of Moon and Mother Vine, will lead a Cacao Ceremony. Women throughout history have gathered in sacred circle to share together, to celebrate together, to cry together, essentially, to be, together. All of you is welcome in our circle; your joys, your pains, and everything in between.

At our Cacao Ceremony, you can expect:

- healing sound bath

- guided meditation

- shamanic journey

- medicine songs and chants

- safe connection with other women

- releasing old stories that are no longer serving you

- opening your heart

- connecting to the divine feminine/Mother Earth

- increasing your creativity

- uplifting your spirit

- a sense of belonging

- remembering your connection to the sacred within and around you

Cacao is a powerful, heart-opening plant medicine that has been used ceremonially for thousands of years. Besides being one of the world’s richest superfoods, full of antioxidants, it is known spiritually for its active ingredient, Theobromine, a Latin word that translates to “Food of the Gods.” Cacao is a non-psychoactive plant ally that helps us deepen our connection with our heart chakra, creating more ease and harmony in our lives.

Workshop & Ceremony Logistics

Please plan to arrive by 2:40pm to give yourself time to settle in as the workshop and ceremony will begin promptly at 3pm. 

Please bring a healthy small dish/snack and camping gear if you'd like to stay on site for a potluck, bonfire, and camping. We will have coolers available for potluck food storage.

There is no bathroom on site, we will provide toilet paper and wipes.

This event is for women (and those who identify as such) over 18. No kiddos, please. All tickets are final sale, no refunds offered.

Event address provided upon registration. The event will be held in Ivy, VA, 15 minutes from downtown Charlottesville. In the event of rain, the event will be held at Ashtanga Yoga Charlottesville.
